New Keyboardist Needed

Words can barely express how sad it makes me to say it, but Shea Thompson has left the band. He will continue his role as recording engineer at Sonic-Rocket, but other responsibilities have made it necessary for him to abandon his role with The Brilliant Deductions. Heartfelt thanks to Shea for all he has done in the past to help us with our music. We will be forever grateful. So, in the immortal words of Albert Einstein, "In the middle of every difficulty, lies opportunity." This could be an opportunity for you to be part of our group. Reach out directly if you are interested in talking more about it. Below is what we are looking for:

Keyboardist / Collaborator wanted
Established original band in North County is in search of a keyboard player to collaborate with song writing, recording and live performance. We have an excellent recording studio and top players. This is a recreational project so we’re not looking for hired guns.

Ideal person will be a mature individual seeking a creative outlet where we can make some great music together and have fun doing it. Style is Adult Alternative / Brit-Pop. Oasis, Jellyfish, ELO, Tom Petty, and of course The Beatles, Many of the newer melodic, lyric-oriented pop artists are very cool too. The style of keyboard playing that would fit well with what we do is along the lines of Steve Nieve (Elvis Costello) or Tim Finn (Split Enz / Crowded House). You don’t need to be a killer keyboardist to be considered. It’s more about finding someone who fits in with our vibe. We have great gear (Korg Kronos X) that you may use so all that is required are chops, dedication and imagination. Singer preferred! Who doesn’t love a band with great harmonies?

We rehearse weekly at our recording studio in Fallbrook. The plan is simple: we keep writing and recording original material until we’re ready to release an album. We promote the band by playing a few local showcases (San Diego/LA) each quarter then rinse, repeat. No deadlines. No egos. We’re starting to dabble in video production as well, which has been lots of fun for us. We all have day jobs and families that we love, but we love our music too so this gives us a chance to get creative.

Original music is a team sport… we’ve got a great team. All that’s missing is YOU. If this sounds at all intriguing… drop me a line we’ll exchange some music samples and see where it leads.
