Fun with Flowers

I’m happy to report we had a lot of fun over the last couple sessions working withGreg Lawrence on recording strings on Flowers. Greg came by last week and helped get us started arranging parts. John and I worked something out for Greg to play this week. We got some ge=rest takes and we’re nearly done with the tune now. We’ll add backing vocals next week and it should be ready for mixing.

BTW, Greg’s violin was made in 1760 making it older than USA. Wow… he plays it so beautifully. Thanks Greg

Finishing up a new release

We’re back in the studio with our new guitarist Chris Mares. Chris is lying down some cool licks on Beutiful Lies, our coming release. We’re getting very close to completing the recording of this one, and once we’ve got it mix4d will be adding it to our discography. Even some plans in the works for a fun video for this track. Stay tuned.

Big Thanks To Greg Lawrence

One of our favorite clients just paid for a half page ad in the coming edition of Professional Musician’s Local 325 publication called Soundpost. There’s nothing sweeter than a personal endorsement from a guy as talented as Greg. Thanks a million!

He added the following text:
“Local 325 member violinist Greg Lawrence with Sonic Rocket’s Chief Recording Engineer Shea Thompson.
